Its just a few hours until March 1st. Which means less than 60 days until our March For Babies walk. I was beyond thrilled when a friend of mine offered to help host an online scentsy party. 2014 Shirt Ideas

Hi family and friends, 
This years National Family Team T-shirts colors are Charcoal, Purple and Sapphire. Sapphire is the same color we used in the 2012 walk at Great Adventure. The National Family t's are predesigned and rather inexpensivee. I included pics of the shirts from the March of Dimes Website. I am also going to look into custom shifts so we can personalize it more. If you know me you know I'll incorporate my own style to it. LOL Anyway here are the colors. I am taking a vote on what color you'd like. I personally like the sapphire because it's a loud color.

New Year: Fresh Start

Hello All-

It has been sometime since I last posted or updated on here. Last years walk we didn't do so well and with illness, car problems and some other issues we were unable to walk. This year is a different story, God willing. This year would have been Shealyn's fifth birthday. (I can't believe she would be five. God, how I miss year...or miss the idea of her being here.) Anyway, I have already started to develop our family team; Team Shealyn's Angels. I've sent a goal for $500. Here is the LINK to our team's March of Dimes Page. On it you can find the link to join our team if you wish or donate if you feel so inclined to do so.  I am planning on ordering t-shirts again and my husband and I are coming up with designs. I would like to sell them and have the proceeds go toward our team goal. I would also like to make themed rosaries (MoD and pregnancy & infancy loss) and have half the money go toward to that cost of making the rosaries and the other half go towards our goal as well. I will be updating our Facebook page Team Shealyn's Angel all the time and posting on here when the post is more in depth.

Above all this year, my main goal is to actually get my mom, siblings and my nephew together for the walk to celebrate Shealyn's short time in this earth. Aside from the addition of my nephew that last time ALL of us were together was at my wedding, almost 10 years ago. That would mean more to me that raising money. But the goal for March of Dimes and Walk for Babies is to raise money to eduafte families and help give babies a real fighting chance at survivign from being born to soon.

Hope to see you all at this years walk and together we can help reduce preterm birth.

97 Days Until March for Babies 2013

Hello everyone,

I don't know what I can say about March of Dimes that I haven't said already. I have already signed Teams Shealyn's Angels up to walk this year.

This year the walk will take place at Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. The same place as last year. It will be held on April 28, 2013. Rain or shine.

March for Babies Walk 2012

First, I have to say how excited am to have had my husband walk with me this year. This is my 3rd walk but 4th year supporting March of Dimes. Yay to hubby for walking with us.

Second, Thank you all for your support this year. It truly mean a lot to me. And if it means a lot to me just imagine what it means to the families of NICU babies, struggling to survive. Or the families like mine, who baby was premature and did not make it. I am truly honored to be apart of this amazing organization, helping support families and preemies. WE ARE THEIR VOICE.

Now on to the day.

The start of the walk. That is my mom and sister int eh foreground.

I hardly slept last night. And when I finally did fall asleep I had to wake up about 2 hours later. I set my alarm but didn't turn it on. Thank goodness hubby internal clock works. We woke up at 5:45 about a half hour behind schedule. We picked up my mom and sister. And was were on our way. I didn't take pics of the journey there but that's ok. Anyway, we finally get there and we weren't behind at all. How does that happen? You get a late start but end up getting to your destination on time or even early. I met a friend, and her husband there. Bugs and Daffy were there. It was at Six Flags Great Adventure this year. I posted a few pics throughout this post.  I'll post a link to Shealyn's Angels facebook page, there you can see all of them.

We had a good turn out and the weather was beautiful. A little cold at first but not too bad. My first walk in 09, I was almost 5 months pregnant and it was probably 100 degrees out.

Oh! Before I forget. This year we were able to raise.....drum roll please....$535. Again, thank you ALL for your help and support with this event. The bake sale alone, got me a Marh of Dimes T-shirt. Yay. Now I have 3.

Please join me next season. I'll be starting and October or November.

Together we can help fight and prevent prematurity.

3 Days Away

I can't believe that the walk is 3 days away. It seems like yesterday I had just begun fundraising. This year I had so many ideas on raising money but not enough time or funding. But next year it's on like Donkey Kong.  --never understood that-- Well anyway. I am really excited for the walk this year. Mostly because I have gotten some friends and family involved and my husband will be walking with us for the first time. I'm also looking forward to next year. I am going to start early and get donations of good from stores and stuff and possibly do a silent auction. LOL I was just watching The Office and they were doing a silent auction. That's were I got the idea. But anyway, I also want to do a spaghetti dinner or something. I can't wait.

It's Teeee Shirt Tiiiime!!!!

They cabs aren't here yet but, I am beyond excited. I was finally able to get the t-shirts I order for the team. Well, my sister actually went and picked them up for me. I got them done at a local shop. You can check their site out here. They are called Farro's Tees. I designed the shirt online. I had my spec within days of deciding on going with them. Once I made my deposit the shirts were completed within a week. They will keep the screen on file so I can order more next year if I wanted. I can't wait to see the team in them. They look amazing.

I couldn't model the shirt because I don't have a tripod. And Billy wasn't in the mood to try the shirt on. So I took some pictures of it on a hanger. Sorry if the quality isn't that good. So without further ado I present to you Team Shealyn's Angels T-shirts. Yaaaaay!!!

I can't believe it is all coming together. It's unfortunately the circumstances but I am truly honored to have had such a beautiful person in my life, even if it was for a shot amount of time. And this will and will be her legacy.
